We, the community of those responsible for building the great cathedral churches of Europe from Norway to Malta and from Spain to Ukraine, do not want to remain silent about the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Europe is burning – we want to ring the bells of our churches for 7 minutes on Thursday, 3 March 2022 at noon, every minute for one day of this senseless war. With this ringing, we declare our solidarity with the people who have to endure this war and fear for their lives, who have to organise resistance against a superior force, who have to flee from the war, who have the courage to protest against the warmongers in their country and who live in the countries directly affected by this war. With this ringing we mourn the dead of all the countries involved and express our thanks, should the weapons fall silent in the meantime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With this ringing we pray for all those affected by this war. With this peal we pray for peace. Everyone in our community is committed to ensuring that the people of all other churches will also hear about this and that the peal of fire will be heard in many places in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
