European Association of Cathedral Architects, Surveyors and Heads of Workshops

As early as the Middle Ages, there was a lively exchange between the great cathedral and minster building lodges of Europe. Following on from this tradition, master builders and master smelters from numerous European building lodges have been meeting since 1975 for a conference that takes place every year at different locations. The aim is to exchange ideas on the often similar problems involved in the restoration of major historical buildings.
